The basics
Yes. They begin as real flowers, rather than being moulded from plastic or fabric. Preservation helps retain their form and texture. Each Everairy product description identifies the flowers, foliage and decorative materials used.
Preservation methods vary. A common process replaces the plant’s natural sap and moisture with a preserving solution. Colour may also be added during treatment. This is a specialist process; the finished flowers do not need watering.
Both start as real flowers. Dried flowers lose moisture and often develop a papery texture and muted colours. Preserved flowers are treated to retain a softer, more fresh-looking appearance. Neither is a living plant.
Some colours are introduced during preservation, which makes a wider palette possible. “Real flowers” describes their botanical origin, not a promise that every colour is untreated. Refer to the product photographs when choosing your palette.
There is no single lifespan for every arrangement. The flower type, humidity, light and handling all affect how it looks over time. Colour and texture can gradually change. Follow the daily-care guidance rather than treating preserved flowers as permanently unchanged.
Daily care
No. Do not add water to the vase or spray the flowers. They are preserved for display, not growing. Keep the arrangement dry, including when cleaning the surrounding surface.
Choose an indoor spot away from direct sunlight, radiators and other heat sources. Avoid steamy bathrooms, damp windowsills and outdoor displays. A dry side table or sheltered shelf is a better starting point.
Dust only when needed, using a clean, dry, very soft brush with a light touch. Support the arrangement by its vessel or base, rather than lifting it by the flower heads. Do not wash the petals or use cleaning sprays.
Natural flowers vary in shape, size and colour, and each arrangement is handcrafted. Small differences are part of the piece. Use the listed overall dimensions to judge scale, and contact us before ordering if a particular detail matters to you.
Choosing your flowers
A preserved-flower bouquet can become a keepsake to display at home. Share how you would like to use and display it when discussing your design, so we can consider the shape and practical details together. Continue to follow the daily-care guidance after the day.
